Tashkent Street and Babur Park to Be Established in Islamabad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the state visit of President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Pakistan, a ceremony was held to name one of Islamabad’s streets “Tashkent” and a newly created park after Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur.

Prime Minister of Pakistan Shehbaz Sharif emphasized that this decision reflects the deep historical and cultural ties between the two countries and serves as a symbol of the strategic level of multifaceted Uzbekistan–Pakistan partnership.

It was noted that Tashkent Street and Babur Park, named after President Mirziyoyev’s illustrious ancestor, will stand as visible symbols of the mutual commitment of both nations to further strengthen friendship and understanding between the peoples of Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
