Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Tashkent starch factory “Golden Corn” began its activities in the industrial zone of Chilanzar district.
Total cost of the project is US$4.6 million. A US$2 million loan from the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development was attracted to implement the project, which were used to purchase equipment from China.
The new enterprise will annually produce up to 19,000 tonnes of raw starch powder, molasses, maltose and maltodextrin. The plant will use local corn grain.
The plant will produce feed for livestock, animal feed and bioadditives for poultry farming and fish farming. The company will produce secondary raw materials for oil and fat processing plants.
