Tashkent region hosts youth scientific and technical conference

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 14-15 March, a youth scientific and technical conference on the topic “Improving energy conservation and energy efficiency in the oil and gas industry” organized by Lukoil is being held in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Uzbekistan reported.

The conference participants were young specialists of the Ministry of Energy, Lukoil Uzbekistan Operating Company, students of the Branch of the Russian State University of Oil and Gas (NRU) named after I.M. Gubkin in the city of Tashkent.

In accordance with the adopted acts of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the introduction of modern energy-efficient and energy-saving technologies in state bodies and organizations is actively taking place, as well as monitoring of the efficiency of energy consumption is carried out. Concepts and state programs are actively being developed for developing basic sectors of the economy, preparing proposals to increase their energy efficiency and reduce energy intensity based on a systematic study of global trends in the use of electric and thermal energy.

The program is designed for two days and will include presentations of participants, communication training on team building and intellectual games.

In 2019, training seminars have been held in all regions of the republic with the participation of representatives of more than 500 industrial enterprises, press conferences, meetings on reducing energy intensity and improving energy efficiency. Brochures, booklets, memos, posters on improving energy efficiency and resource conservation have been prepared and distributed. In addition, videos were prepared and broadcast, television and radio programs were broadcast, and materials were published in the media and social networks.
