Tashkent Region Explains Construction of Parking Lot for Prosecutor’s Office

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent Regional Hokimiyat (administration) commented on plans to build a parking lot for the prosecutor’s office in Nurafshan following criticism on social media.

The project is estimated at 4.5 billion soums, according to the regional administration’s press service.

The statement emphasized that Nurafshan, which recently became the administrative center of the region, is developing in accordance with the approved master plan.

Project funding includes comprehensive landscaping of an area of about one hectare, featuring modern parking infrastructure, electric vehicle charging stations, green spaces, and pedestrian zones.

The initial project cost was 5.9 billion soums, but optimization measures reduced expenses. Financing will come from the local budget using revenues accumulated as of the third quarter of 2025.

The goal of the project is to create a comfortable transport infrastructure, prevent traffic congestion, and form a modern urban environment in line with the status of the region’s administrative center.
