Tashkent Region and South Gyeongsang Strengthen Partnership in Investment, Technology, and Education
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from South Gyeongsang Province, led by Governor Park Wan-Su, is on an official visit to Tashkent Region.
The visit includes a series of events aimed at expanding bilateral cooperation and strengthening ties in trade, investment, science, education, and culture.
A business forum was held at Chirchik Technopark, bringing together officials and business representatives from both regions. Governor of Tashkent Region, Zoir Mirzaev, highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership and expressed readiness to further expand collaboration in investment, education, science, and high-tech sectors.
The forum showcased the economic potential of Tashkent Region, investment conditions, free economic zones, and opportunities for project implementation. Delegates also learned about South Jeolla’s achievements in industry, innovation, and high technology.
An official friendship and cooperation agreement between Tashkent Region and South Gyeongsang Province is planned for signing. Additionally, B2B and B2G meetings were held with participation of entrepreneurs from both sides.
Education cooperation received special attention, with plans to sign memorandums of understanding between Jeonwon University and leading universities in Tashkent Region. This initiative will enable student exchanges, joint research projects, and faculty collaboration.
The delegations will also visit local landmarks in Tashkent Region.
The visit and accompanying activities are expected to elevate the long-term, mutually beneficial partnership between Tashkent Region and South Jeolla Province to a new level.
