Tashkent Police Disperse Unauthorized Gathering Outside Store in Yunusabad

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Law enforcement officers in Tashkent dispersed an unauthorized crowd that had gathered outside a store in the “Markaz-5” neighborhood of Yunusabad district, the city police department reported.

The gathering was triggered by a social media post from the store announcing a free distribution of dietary supplements, including vitamins, minerals, and other sports products.

A large number of people assembled at the site, though no official permit had been obtained for such a mass event.

Police arrived promptly, took the situation under control, and dispersed the crowd. Authorities emphasized that no injuries were reported.

The Yunusabad District Department of Internal Affairs is conducting a preliminary inquiry into the actions of the store’s owners to determine possible legal consequences.
