Tashkent Launches Website for Real-Time Tracking of Garbage Trucks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Tashkent city administration, in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport, has launched the platform tozapoytaxt.uz (“Clean Capital”), which allows residents of the capital to track garbage trucks in real time via GPS.

At the same time, a centralized system for receiving citizens’ complaints and inquiries regarding waste management has been established through the platform xalqnazorati.uz.

Starting from 1 January 2026, additional measures will be implemented to increase transparency and efficiency in waste management. Residents will be able to track the arrival times and routes of garbage trucks in each mahalla and access daily reports on the volume of collected waste.

A two-year program will be carried out to equip mahallas with waste containers, a mechanism will be introduced for citizens to evaluate the quality of services, and contracts with legal entities will be monitored through online tracking.

The city administration emphasized that these initiatives aim to enhance transparency, convenience, and efficiency in waste management. The digitalization process and launch of the “Toza Poytaxt” platform were first announced in August, initially tested in the Olmazar district, with phased implementation planned across all districts of the capital.

According to a presidential decree, starting in 2026, sanitation companies will be required to equip waste collection points with video cameras and install GPS trackers on garbage trucks.

Additionally, from 1 January, residents and organizations will be able to pay for solid waste collection services exclusively online, with apartment-level cash collection being discontinued.
