Tashkent hosts roundtable “Uzbekistan – full-fledged subject of international relations”

MPs of Legislative Chamber, members of senate, MPs of Tashkent city People’s Council, members of Youth Wing of Tashkent city council of the Uzbekistan Liberal Democratic Party (UzLiDeP), students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy participated in the event.

The event was aimed at attracting youth to process of construction of legal democratic government and strong civil society, as well as familiarizing youth with new laws, decrees and resolutions of the President, strengthening role of youth in implementing laws.

The event also discussed foreign policy of Uzbekistan and its principles, cooperation of Uzbekistan with international organizations, including the UN.

Uzbekistan joined the UN on 2 March 1992. This year, Uzbekistan marks 22nd anniversary of membership in the organization.

During the event, the participants considered results and trends of social-economic development of Uzbekistan, priority directions and principles of foreign policy of Uzbekistan.
