Tashkent Hosts Regional Stage of ICPC Uzbekistan 2025
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 2 November 2025, the regional stage of The 2025 ICPC Uzbekistan Regional Contest, the country’s largest student programming competition, was held in Tashkent. The event took place at School 21 and brought together over 600 participants from 32 universities.
ICPC (The International Collegiate Programming Contest) is an international competitive programming event that annually unites more than 73,000 students and 12,000 coaches from 3,400 universities across 103 countries.
The regional contest was organized by the Ministry of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, IT Park Uzbekistan, and ITPU, with support from Uzcard and School 21, who served as platinum sponsors. This year, 202 teams participated, including 80 representing regions of the country, highlighting the growing role of IT education in talent development and the enhancement of Uzbekistan’s human capital.
Organizers emphasized that ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 served as a significant platform to support talented young programmers and nurture a generation of specialists capable of working with advanced technologies and creating innovative solutions.
At the conclusion of the competition, first place was awarded to the “Unexpected Ones” team from Tashkent University of Humanities. Second place went to the “Don’t Panic” team from Tashkent University of Information Technologies, and third place was claimed by the “Three Dinosaurs” team from the New University of Uzbekistan. Winners received medals, trophies, and valuable prizes: the first-place team received 18 million soums, gold medals, and iPads; second place received 12 million soums, gold medals, and iPhones; third place received 9 million soums, gold medals, and Apple Watches. Teams placing fourth through ninth also received cash prizes and medals, supported by IT Park Uzbekistan.
Winners of ICPC Uzbekistan will represent the country at the ICPC World Championship semifinals. To prepare participants, IT Park, together with its partners, organizes training bootcamps and mentoring programs aimed at developing algorithmic thinking and teamwork skills.
ICPC Uzbekistan 2025 reaffirmed the country’s commitment to strengthening technological education and fostering a new generation of specialists capable of making significant contributions to Uzbekistan’s digital development.
