Tashkent hosts conference “Professional development of teachers and trainers”

The event was organized by Istedod Foundation, Ministry of higher and secondary special education and British Council.

The conference was aimed at further developing capacity to carry out national reforms in teaching English language in Uzbekistan through professional development of teachers and trainers.

Representatives of Istedod Foundation, Ministry of higher and secondary special education, teachers and trainers, who underwent education in Great Britain through Istedod Foundation’s programme in 2013, participated in the conference.

One of the leading specialists in teaching of English language of Great Britain Rod Bolitho participated in the conference.

The participants considered issues of creation of culture of uninterrupted professional development and professional development on individual and institutional levels.

The event also included a video conference with English language teachers of all universities of Uzbekistan. The video conference included session of British expert and presentations of teachers. The British Council presented its modern English language courses as well.

British Council is planning to hold training for English language specialists in sphere of developing tests to new curriculum for future English language teachers.
