Tashkent hosts conference on solar energy

The conference was dedicated to issues of engineering and advanced technologies in installation and exploitation of helio heating and power stations.

Representatives of Uzbekenergo, international companies, working on solar energy sphere, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Uzbekistan Francois Gauthier participated at the event.

Alternative sources of energy are becoming popular worldwide. Currently, Uzbekistan acknowledges perspectives of green energy.

According to the Center for Economic Researches, natural gas resources of Uzbekistan will be enough for 20-30 years, if current production volume will be kept. Reserves of oil almost used. Both of them are not renewable energy and account 99.3% of total volume in structure of produced electricity.

There are about 300 solar days in Uzbekistan a year and mountain rivers. All these will help to develop renewable energy in the country. Power potential of solar energy is equal to 50.973 billion tonnes of oil equivalent. Currently, Uzbekenergo works on project on production of solar panels and creation of solar power station.

At the conference, Alstom presented its innovative solutions, which are advance technologies and ecologically clean. The presentation was dedicated to helio power stations, their design and construction.

At the end of the event, Alstom expressed interest in providing its services, products and systems to Uzbekistan in production of green energy.
