Tashkent host meeting on European Strategy Health-2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A sub-regional meeting for countries of Central Asia, Turkey and some European countries on implementation of the European Strategy Health-2020 will be held in Tashkent on 27-28 November 2014, which is directed at familiarizing international community with successful experience of introduction of the strategy in Uzbekistan.

It is organized by Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan and European Regional Bureau of the World Health Organization. The meeting is directed to implementation of key and goals of implementation of Health-2020 strategy.

Representatives of five Central Asian countries, Turkey and Latvia, WHO, UNFPA, UNESCO, UNICEF, UNAIDS will attend the event and discuss priority tasks, needs and challenges of healthcare sector, realization of main principles of Health-2020 strategy.
