Tashkent Council Allocates 10 Billion Soums for Seasonal Flower Planting
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 September, the Tashkent City Council of People’s Deputies approved a resolution allocating 10 billion soums for expenses related to the planting of seasonal flower seedlings by organizations under the city’s Main Department of Beautification and district-level beautification offices. The document has been published on the official portal of the council.
The funds will come from a portion of the state budget’s revenue overperformance for the first quarter of 2025, transferred to the local budget. Of the total, 1.82 billion soums will go to various city beautification departments, while 8.18 billion soums will be distributed among Tashkent’s districts.
The largest allocations include 815 million soums for the Department of Central Squares Beautification, 748 million soums for the Department of Major Street Beautification, 190 million soums for the Department of Government Facilities Maintenance, and 67 million soums for the Department of Public Services.
District allocations are as follows: Bektemir — 565 million soums, Mirabad — 480 million soums, Mirzo-Ulugbek — 1.24 billion soums, Sergeli — 295 million soums, Almazar — 1 billion soums, Shayhantahur — 980 million soums, Yashnabad — 775 million soums, Chilanzar — 1.07 billion soums, Uchtepa — 278 million soums, Yunusabad — 1.15 billion soums, Yakkasaray — 267 million soums, and Yangihayot — 80 million soums.
The initiative aims to enhance the city’s aesthetics and public spaces through organized seasonal landscaping and flower planting.
