Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, 10 February, a meeting with representatives of the Russian metallurgical industry was held at the Tashkent city khokimiyat. The meeting was attended by the khokim of Tashkent city Jakhongir Artikkhodjaev and heads of the largest Russian companies in the metallurgical industry. The Russian side was represented by Andrey Deineko, President of the MetProm Group of Companies, and Nikita Gusakov, General Director of EXIAR JSC, a member of the REC group.
After exchanging greetings, Jahongir Artikkhodjaev noted that the time had come for large projects and the Tashkent city kkhokimiyat was interested in proposals for launching a turnkey production. He also noted that the most promising for such production is the Yangikhayot region.
In turn, Andrei Deineko said that MetProm experts studied the Uzbek market, which currently consumes 200,000 tons of sheet metal, and, taking into account the analysis of needs, prepared their proposal. Annealed black tin, used in construction and for the manufacture of household appliances, is in demand, but they are ready to ensure the production of the necessary tinplate. Moreover, different grades of cold-rolled steel - in coils or sheets.
Further, the parties discussed specific steps towards the implementation of this important investment technology project.
