Tashkent City and Tashkent Region Lead in Number of Foreign Enterprises

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As of 1 October 2025, a total of 17,188 enterprises with foreign investment were operating in Uzbekistan, according to the National Statistics Committee.

The city of Tashkent hosts the largest number of foreign companies — 10,962 enterprises, followed by the Tashkent region with 2,174. Other regions with relatively high concentrations of foreign-invested businesses include Samarkand (643), Surkhandarya (482), and Ferghana (589) region.

The lowest number of foreign enterprises was recorded in Kashkadarya (157) and Khorezm (188) regions.
