Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - On 24 August, Deputy Khokim of Tashkent city Sharof Rakhmanov met with a delegation from the Altai Territory of the Russian Federation headed by the Deputy Head of the Altai Territory Export Support Center Evgenia Sitnikova at the Tashkent city khokimiyat.

Welcoming the guests, Sharof Rakhmanov noted the development of economic relations with the regions of the Russian Federation, which was facilitated, in particular, by interregional forums.

Emphasizing Tashkent’s interest in economic cooperation, Rakhmonov invited representatives of companies to the meeting, with whom more specific interaction could be discussed. At the same time, the khokimiyat will provide the necessary support in all areas of cooperation.

In turn, the guests informed about various aspects of the economy of the Altai Territory. These are, first of all, the food industry, tourism, light industry, the supply of timber and lumber for construction, pharmacology. It is worth noting that the Altai Territory is also a transport hub for communication with Kazakhstan, China, Mongolia and, of course, with Siberia. It is also an ecologically clean area, so agricultural products and medicinal herbs from the Altai Territory are in demand on the market.
