Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2026, Navruz celebrations in Tashkent are unfolding in a particularly festive atmosphere, bringing together residents and visitors around national traditions, cultural heritage, and the spirit of spring.
The city has transformed into a large-scale celebration venue where rich customs blend seamlessly with a modern cultural program.
The central hub of festivities is the туристическая улица “O‘zbekiston ovozi,” where the main events are concentrated. Visitors explore national values, participate in public festivities, and engage in праздничные активности. Over the first two days alone, the площадка attracted more than 50,000 visitors, with over 6,000 guests present simultaneously at peak times.
Festivities have also spread across other popular locations. On Taras Shevchenko Street, visitors can enjoy a wide range of traditional cuisine, while the Navro‘z Ethnopark hosts programs showcasing customs and craftsmanship. Cultural and entertainment events are also taking place along Al-Khwarizmi Street.
Public celebrations are being held in all districts of the capital. Parks and open spaces—including Tashkent City Park, Central Park Tashkent, and Coca-Cola Park—have become key gathering points, hosting daily festive programs.
A special focus is placed on gastronomy. Guests can watch the preparation of traditional dishes such as sumalak, halim, samsa, and plov—and taste them fresh on-site. Concert performances by well-known artists further enhance the vibrant праздничная атмосфера.
