Tashkent Begins Testing Main Heating Networks
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 24 March to 1 May 2026, Tashkent will conduct scheduled tests of its main heat networks to assess mechanical strength and pressure tightness. The measures aim to ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of the city’s heating system for the upcoming winter season.
According to Veolia Energy Tashkent, brief hot water interruptions will occur from 24 to 31 March, while testing from 1 April to 1 May is planned without restricting hot water supply.
The inspections will cover the service areas of the city’s main heat sources, including thermal plants TC-1 through TC-10, the Tashkent Combined Heat and Power Plant (CHP), and several local boiler houses. As part of the work, pressure tests of the heat networks will be conducted according to the established schedule.
Testing will take place along key transport routes and residential areas, including Amir Temur and Mustakillik avenues, Navoi Street, Mirzo Ulugbek Street, Bunyodkor, Farhadskaya, Shota Rustaveli, and others. Major residential districts such as Chilanzar, Yunusabad, Sergeli, Kuyluk, and Karakamysh will also be affected.
Detailed schedules are provided for each thermal plant and boiler house, specifying dates for pressure tests and the streets or districts affected.
For example, TC-1 will be tested on 9 and 16 April, affecting areas including Mustakillik Avenue, Mirzo Ulugbek Street, and the Tashkent State Agrarian University zone, while TC-2 will be tested on 7 and 22 April, covering streets such as Mirzo Ulugbek, Avaykhon, and the Karasu residential areas. Other plants and boiler houses have similarly detailed schedules for testing across the city.
These activities will help identify potential defects in advance and improve the reliability of Tashkent’s heating infrastructure. Residents are advised to take precautions during testing periods and expect temporary disruptions in hot water service due to technical works.
