Tashkent and Bucharest Preparing Intergovernmental Agreement on Migration

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Olimjon Abdullaev held talks with Romanian Ambassador Daniel Cristian Ciobanu, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported.

During the meeting, the prospects for bilateral cooperation in the field of labor migration were discussed.

In particular, the parties considered issues related to the conclusion of an intergovernmental agreement, joint efforts to combat illegal migration, and the organization of consular consultations.

The interlocutors confirmed their mutual interest in developing a systematic dialogue and agreed to implement practical measures to strengthen cooperation.
