Tanzila Narbayeva discussed support for women’s entrepreneurship in Astana
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of her official visit to Kazakhstan, Chairperson of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis, Tanzila Narbayeva, held a meeting with members of the National Commission on Women’s Affairs and Family-Demographic Policy under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the event, Narbayeva acquainted her Kazakh colleagues with the large-scale reforms underway in Uzbekistan aimed at developing small businesses and private entrepreneurship.
It was noted that in recent years, more than 40 regulatory legal acts related to entrepreneurship development have been adopted in the country, over 10 of which specifically support women’s entrepreneurship.
Special attention was given to creating conditions for active female participation in business. In this regard, the National Bank system has implemented a comprehensive support mechanism covering all stages of women entrepreneurs’ activities—from starting their own business to successfully running it.
The sides exchanged views on strengthening multilateral cooperation, promoting gender equality, and further enhancing the role of women in families and society.
