Tajikistan President to Make State Visit to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the invitation of Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will make a state visit to Uzbekistan on 26–27 March.
The visit will include high-level talks and the first session of the Supreme Intergovernmental Council, chaired by the leaders of both countries. Key topics will focus on further strengthening friendship, good-neighborly relations, and strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
Special attention will be given to expanding political dialogue, trade and economic cooperation, interregional collaboration, deepening industrial partnerships, enhancing transport connectivity, ensuring water and energy security, and continuing cultural and humanitarian exchanges.
The heads of state will exchange views on pressing international and regional issues and cooperation within multilateral formats. The program also includes launching several new joint projects and signing a package of bilateral documents aimed at further developing multi-level cooperation.
