Syrian Business Delegation Begins Business Visit to Uzbekistan to Explore Industrial Potential

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — From 11 to 16 February, at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, a delegation of Syrian entrepreneurs led by Ala Omar Al-Ali, President of the Federation of Syrian Chambers of Commerce, is visiting Uzbekistan.

The visit is a practical continuation of the agreements reached during the trip of the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Davron Vakhabov, to Syria on 28 December 2025.

At the initial stage of the program, the guests familiarized themselves with the activities of industrial enterprises, studied production capacities and export opportunities, and held negotiations with local entrepreneurs.

As part of the business visit, the Syrian delegation visited the confectionery enterprise CRAFERS, which became one of the key venues of the program, showcasing the potential of Uzbekistan’s food industry.

In addition, the guests were presented with an exhibition highlighting the overall potential of the sector, featuring more than 20 local manufacturers.

The Syrian entrepreneurs highly appreciated the production technologies and export orientation of Uzbek companies, expressing strong interest in establishing supplies to the Syrian market and developing further cooperation.

The program also includes familiarization with the potential of Uzbekistan’s construction industry, including production capacities and opportunities for investment and joint projects.
