Syrdarya, Tianjin Expand Practical Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — As part of a visit to China by a delegation from Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region led by Governor Erkinjon Turdimov, active efforts are underway to expand interregional cooperation.
During talks with the leadership of Tianjin, the sides focused on accelerating the implementation of investment projects and elevating their partnership to a new level.
A high-level trade, economic and investment forum titled “Syrdarya — Tianjin” was held, bringing together around 700 Chinese entrepreneurs and about 50 representatives of the Syrdarya region’s business community. The forum served as a platform for establishing direct contacts, discussing cooperation prospects, and signing new agreements.
Agreements were reached with the Tianjin Light Industry Vocational Technical College on training qualified specialists, introducing advanced educational practices, and integrating education with industry.
In the industrial sector, the parties discussed projects involving the production of sports equipment, construction materials, light industry goods, and food products.
During a roundtable discussion, investment opportunities in the Syrdarya region were presented to Chinese companies.
Several enterprises expressed their readiness to visit the region to explore projects in detail on-site. All agreements reached are aimed at launching new production facilities, creating jobs, and strengthening the region’s economic activity.
