Syrdarya region’s GRP increases by 7.8% in 1Q 2010

The industrial output of the region rose by 9.5% and production of consumer goods grew by 8.9% in the reporting period.

Implementation of programmes helped the region to increase agriculture output by 4.4%, construction works by 9.2% and paid services by 2.2%.

Enterprises of the region exported products and services for US$36.7 million in the first three months of 2010.

The region attracted foreign investments for US$17.482 million, of which US$4.7 million were direct investments.
