Syrdarya Region Reaches Agreement with Chinese Companies on Joint Agro-Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During a visit of the Syrdarya regional hokimiyat delegation to China, negotiations were organized with several companies operating in Guangdong Province, with the support of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan, the Dunyо News Agency reports.

During the meetings, the parties discussed the development of Uzbekistan’s agriculture, the introduction of modern technologies and innovative solutions, and the implementation of promising investment projects.

Special attention was given to discussions with leading Chinese companies, including Haid Group, Wens Foodstuff Group, and Huaxing Holding Group.

Opportunities for joint projects in Syrdarya Region were explored, including the establishment of livestock, poultry, and fish farming enterprises, construction of feed production facilities, and the development of cotton cultivation and seed production.

As a result of the meetings, an agreement was reached to organize business missions of representatives from the aforementioned companies to Syrdarya Region to further develop cooperation directions and implement the discussed initiatives in practice.
