Syrdarya region is opening its doors for the investors.

The forum will provide guests with the opportunity to learn about the favorable investment climate in Uzbekistan: about new guarantees and benefits provided by the state, about the privileges, potential and further directions of development of Syrdarya region.
Syrdarya region, taking advantage of its predominant geographical position - proximity to the capital, borders with the Republics of Kazakhstan and Tajikistan attracts the attention of investors, and since the beginning of this year has attracted foreign direct investment in the amount of more than $ 100 million.

Thus, Syrdarya region represents a large base for the production of electricity - the Syrdarya TPS provides electricity to a third of Central Asia, cotton fiber - in the amount of 191 thousand tons per year, light industry, food and fruit and vegetable products (200 tons of raw silk , 70 thousand tons of meat, 3 thousand tons of fish, 3 million heads of birds, 350 thousand tons of milk, 514 thousand tons of melons, 500 thousand tons of vegetables, 50 thousand tons of fruits, 53 thousand tons of legumes , 17 thousand tons of grapes).
Most of the products manufactured here are exported, the geography of the sales market extends to more than 35 countries - China, Russia, Kazakhstan. With the development of exports, trade cooperation is also strengthening. To facilitate interaction, trading houses were created in Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Ukraine.
The FEZ “Sirdaryo” operates in the region, where 45 projects totaling 305.2 million US dollars are already being implemented, of which 49.5 million US dollars are foreign investments. FEZ has a positive impact on the development of entrepreneurship, participants in the FEZ enjoy tax and customs benefits, they are subject to a special currency regime. Also, in general, it positively affected to the level of well-being of the population, as it created an additional 5,290 new jobs.
A lively discussion of the current situation in the region for business is planned at the forum in the framework of three breakout sessions (1 - “Prospects for the development of trade and economic partnership of the Syrdarya region with foreign countries and attracting foreign direct investment”, 2 - “Development of prospects for agriculture and processing agricultural products, existing opportunities with the effective use of agritourism and ecotourism ”, 3 - “Prospects for the development of industry and alternative energy in Syrdarya region”), where local entrepreneurs will share their own experience, and government officials will be able to answer guests' questions.
Participation of guests from more than 150 companies from China, Italy, Russia, Kazakhstan, India and Belarus and others is expected. The forum participants will be able to get acquainted with the developed investment projects for implementation in the region, as well as visit the cooperative exchange, which will be held in the B2G and B2B format.
In addition to the official part of the forum’s program, a national exhibition of local producers, a melon festival “Qovun Sayli”, a flower festival “Gul Bayrami”, and a bird exhibition “Qushlar korgazmasi” will also be organized.
Following the forum, it is planned to sign investment and export contracts for a total amount of more than 200 million US dollars. The forum will be held in the building of the Musical Drama Theater.
