Syrdarya Region Expands Cooperation with Hong Kong

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Governor of Uzbekistan’s Syrdarya region, Erkinjon Turdimov, held talks with John Lee Ka-chiu, Chief Executive of Hong Kong.

The meeting focused on strengthening interregional cooperation, expanding investment activity, and implementing joint high-potential projects.

The sides explored partnership opportunities across key strategic sectors, including trade and logistics, industry, innovation, information technology, and tourism.

Particular attention was given to cooperation with local partners on investment programs, startup development, the adoption of artificial intelligence technologies, and educational initiatives.

Following the meeting, the participants reaffirmed their readiness to further deepen business ties and move forward with the practical implementation of agreed plans.

Both sides emphasized the importance of continued dialogue and joint initiatives to strengthen economic and technological links between the regions.
