Syrdarya Region Expands Cooperation with China Through Investment Forums and B2B Talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A delegation from Syrdarya Region, led by Acting Hokim Erkinjon Turdimov, is on a working visit to China, during which a series of meetings with Chinese companies and regional authorities took place.

In Zhejiang Province, the delegation visited a local medical institute and exchanged experience in medicine and scientific research. Agreements were reached to further strengthen bilateral ties and implement joint projects.

In Yiwu, the “Syrdarya–Zhejiang” investment forum was held, attended by approximately 200 Chinese and 50 Syrdarya entrepreneurs. Participants discussed new areas of cooperation, joint projects, and regional investment opportunities.

During a meeting with Yiwu Communist Party Committee Secretary Ye Bangrui, both sides examined Yiwu’s experience in developing small businesses and industry, considering its potential application in Syrdarya Region, including the establishment of small manufacturing enterprises and a commercial center.

The delegation also held negotiations with companies including Ruian Quanji Agricultural Development, Heben International, China Wenren, Taizhou Shanda International Trade, Fourone System, and Sichuan Tenzhui Jie. Discussions focused on expanding cooperation, attracting investments, and implementing joint projects in agriculture, pharmaceuticals, industrial tech parks, construction materials, and innovative technologies.

In Fujian Province, the “Syrdarya–Fujian” trade and investment forum brought together over 200 leaders of Chinese companies. The forum featured B2B and G2B meetings, as well as talks with executives from Fujian Minyijia New Building Material, Pan Pan Food, Sichuan Kindafu Door, Zhejiang Kelu Nukler, Fujian Road and Bridge Construction, and Fujian Zhanda. Key topics included construction, road and infrastructure development, deep processing of agricultural products, and energy projects.

Erkinjon Turdimov held an official meeting with Fujian Governor Zhao Long, resulting in agreements to elevate practical cooperation between the regions to a new level.

During the visit, the delegation also toured industrial enterprises Snowkey Group and Hoardsun Technology Group, discussing prospects for joint projects in the production of compressors, engines, and modern industrial equipment.
