Swiss Capital to construct textile complex in Surkhandarya region

Sputnik agency reported quoting Uzbekyengilsanoat that Swiss company and the Uzbek side are developing a business plant and feasibility study of the project.

The volume of investments and production capacities of the enterprise will be determined after approval of the feasibility study. It is expected that the feasibility study will be ready by the end of March 2015.

The source said that construction works can be started by the end of 2016. Over 80% of produced goods will be exported to Russia and the EU states.

In the first phase, the Swiss company plans to launch spinning capacities in Surkhandarya, and in the second – production of high quality yarn and bed linen.

Swiss Capital has been working in Uzbekistan since 2010 via creating spinning plant in Tashkent. Later four more textile plants were launched in other regions of Uzbekistan.
