Sunflower Oil Imports into Uzbekistan Nearly Double

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to preliminary data from the National Statistics Committee, from January to August 2025, Uzbekistan imported 163.4 thousand tons of sunflower oil, valued at US$163.1 million. The supplies came from three countries.

Over the eight-month period, import volumes nearly doubled, increasing by 79.4 thousand tons compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan remains the primary supplier of sunflower oil to Uzbekistan, accounting for 163.3 thousand tons. Russia supplied 111.6 tons, while Georgia contributed 0.1 tons.
