Sultanov Motors Fined for Misleading Advertising

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In Uzbekistan, Sultanov Motors LLC has been subjected to a financial penalty for violating advertising legislation, the Competition Committee reports.

Monitoring conducted by the regional office of the Competition Committee in Bukhara Region revealed that the company’s advertising materials published in the media and online contained misleading information. Specifically, the ads claimed that the JETOUR X70 was “the best” compared to other models and promoted services that were not actually provided, including a “0% installment” offer.

Such information could mislead consumers and influence their decisions based on inaccurate data.

Following the findings, a special commission of the regional office initiated proceedings against Sultanov Motors LLC.

As a result of the review, the company was fined and required to take measures to eliminate the violations and prevent similar cases in the future.

The Competition Committee urges all businesses to strictly comply with advertising laws, providing accurate, transparent, and objective information to protect consumer rights and interests.
