Sultan of Oman Qaboos bin Said signed a royal decree to establish embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in Uzbekistan.
Uzbekistan and Oman started to negotiate issue on opening of the embassy of Oman in Tashkent during the visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to the Sultanate, which took place in October 2009.
