Sublimation Festival 2025 Enters Top 10 Global Festivals According to Resident Advisor

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The international music event Sublimation Festival 2025, held in Uzbekistan on 12–13 September, has been ranked among the top 10 must-visit festivals worldwide by the respected publication Resident Advisor.

This year, the festival attracted over 8,000 guests and once again brought the global Boiler Room music community to the country.

The festival preserved its unique format: DJ performances were accompanied by live sets, there were no barriers between artists and the audience, and the performances were recorded for later release on Boiler Room’s YouTube channel. As early as 2023, Boiler Room Uzbekistan was recognized as one of the three best Boiler Room events in the world.

Organizers note that Sublimation Festival is valued not only for its technical excellence—sound, lighting, and stage design—but also for creating a distinctive atmosphere that provides attendees with a comprehensive cultural experience. Representatives of Boiler Room highlighted the authenticity of the Uzbek scene, which develops not by copying Western formats but through local originality and the professional approach of the festival team.

The festival program featured more than 100 artists from Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and Europe. For the first time in the country, artists such as Acid Arab, Kikelomo, Chloe Lula, SAMRATTAMA, and Leona performed. Collaborative projects drew particular interest, including Lola × Uzbekistan Youth Choir, QARAQOOM × Saya Musa, Doppi Twins × Khairiniso Akbarova, and the hybrid percussion set Sabinē × Gulomjon Mukhammedjanov.

The festival took place across multiple stages. On 12 September, the Boiler Room Stage hosted experimental live performances, while the House Stage featured local artists. On September 13, the Inspiration Stage for electronic experiments and the Live Stage for live collaborations were added, along with a curated House Stage by Refuge Worldwide, bringing together selectors from various countries.

An important part of the program was a private meeting with Resident Advisor, where the development of music scenes in Uzbekistan and Central Asia and their prospects for international recognition were discussed.

Sublimation Festival 2025 confirmed its status as one of the region’s key music events and a notable player on the global festival map.
