Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- According to the relevant Presidential Decree "On the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy of Action in Five Priority Areas of Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021 in the “Year of Science, Education and Digital Economy Development”, starting from 2020/2021 academic year:

- the number of subjects in the higher education institutions that are not related to the main specialization will be reduced by 2 times;

- the quota of the state order for admission to study at the higher education institutions of Uzbekistan on the basis of a state grant will be gradually increased by 2 times;

- students of the higher educational institution of the republic are given the opportunity to pay for tuition in equal shares at least four times during the academic year.
