Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - According to the decision of the Special Republican Commission for the preparation of the program of measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus in the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 13 dated 30 March 2020, the Ministry of Justice and the Public Service Centers arranged for the issuance of special permits (stickers) for moving vehicles.
As of 6:00 p.m. on 6 April, a total of 168521 applications were received at the Public Service Centers. Of these, 163444 being considered, 28073 were satisfied (16.7%) and 135371 rejected (80.3%).
Despite repeated official warnings by the Agency of Public Services, not to use stickers contrary to the stated goals and abuse them, such cases are quite common.
In turn, this leads to a violation of the established order in the country and negatively affects measures taken against the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of control raids on the targeted use of stickers issued to vehicles, the Traffic Safety Department of the Tashkent Central Administration of Internal Affairs, in cooperation with Tashkent Public Service Centers, from 6 April to 7 April 52 stickers were canceled and cars were placed in the penalty area.
