Statistics: Over Half of Uzbek Women Marry Between Ages 20 and 30

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The majority of Uzbek women enter into marriage between the ages of 20 and 30, according to data from the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Official figures show that from January to September 2025, a total of 177,017 marriages were registered in the country. More than half of the women who married during this period — 94,765 individuals, or 53.5% — were in the 20–30 age group, making it the dominant age range.

A significant share of marriages also occurs at a younger age. A total of 65,078 women, or 36.8% of all registered marriages, married before the age of 20.

A much smaller proportion of women marry at a later age: in the 31–40 age group, 13,137 marriages were registered (7.4%), while among women aged 41 and older, there were 4,037 cases (2.3%).

Overall, the statistics indicate that the vast majority of Uzbek women start families at a young age, primarily between 20 and 30, whereas marriages after 30 remain relatively uncommon.
