Statistics Committee: Jizzakh, Kashkadarya, and Surkhandarya Account for Most of Uzbekistan’s Barley Production

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — According to the National Committee of Statistics, 82,000 tons of barley were produced in Uzbekistan in January–June 2025, an increase of 28.6 percent compared to the same period of last year.

Jizzakh Region led the country with 32,000 tons harvested. Significant volumes were also recorded in Kashkadarya Region — 12,600 tons, Syrdarya Region — 10,800 tons, and Surkhandarya Region — 7,800 tons.

In Samarkand Region, production reached 6,500 tons, in Tashkent Region — 4,600 tons, in Bukhara Region — 3,100 tons, and in Navoi Region — 2,900 tons.

In Ferghana and Namangan Regions, production totaled 900 and 300 tons respectively, while Andijan and Khorezm Regions each produced 200 tons, and the Republic of Karakalpakstan reported 100 tons.
