State Veterinary Committee is reorganized into State Veterinary and Livestock Committee

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree on measures to radically improve the state administration system in the field of veterinary medicine and animal husbandry was adopted.

By decree, the State Veterinary Committee is reorganized into the State Veterinary and Livestock Committee, its main tasks are defined.

The Committee will implement a unified state policy in the field of veterinary medicine, animal husbandry and breeding.

The Committee receives Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine and academic lyceum with him, Scientific Research Institute of Veterinary and Poultry, Scientific Research Institute of Karakul and desert ecology, as well as Scientific Research Institute of Fisheries.

Under the Committee, the Fund for Development of Veterinary Services and Livestock and the Agency Uzbekchorvanasl are created.

From January 1, 2020, in farms with more than 100 livestock or 100 thousand poultry, the positions of veterinarian and zootechnician are being introduced.

In cattle breeding farms, as well as livestock numbers in farms of the population will be artificially fertilized by breeding bulls on the basis of a selection plan.

In future, khokims of the regions will coordinate plans for placing forage crops with the territorial offices of the Uzbekchorvanasl Agency.
