State Tax Committee receives about 6,900 complaints

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - From the first day of the quarantine, the State Tax Committee has received citizens’ appeals related to artificially high prices. But today, their dynamics are noticeable.

By the beginning of April, from the first day of the quarantine, 6,888 complaints were registered on the helpline. The activity is shown by residents of Tashkent (1163), Tashkent region (941) and Kashkadarya region (843). Concern over prices was shown in Samarkand (752), Namangan (520), Surkhandarya (464) and Ferghana regions (405). In Khorezm region, the lowest indicator is 93. At the same time, there are most complaints against sellers who set a high price for potatoes - 2904. For flour and butter - 1690 and 287, respectively. At high prices, medical masks and antiseptic agents (1332), as well as other food products (1448), were also sold.

On the first day of the month, 26 residents of Jizzakh region applied to the STC, on the second - already 10. According to a similar scheme: 20/14 was recorded in Tashkent, 24/15 in Tashkent region, 17/15 in Samarkand, 14/14 in Namangan. 12, in Kashkadarya region 38/42.

Short number 1198 is also available for receiving calls. From the first day of the quarantine, 8799 calls were received. Of these, 5,388 with complaints of expensive potatoes, flour (2,317), meat (613), medical masks and antiseptic agents (1,743). On 1 April, the number of dissatisfied citizens who faced unreasonably high prices amounted to 630 people, on 2 April, there were already 583 less calls. In the regions on 1 and 2 April, respectively, were recorded in Kashkadarya region (135/160), Syrdarya region (97/31), Navoi region (44/35) appeals.
