State Competition Committee hosts meeting with joint WB and UNDP mission

The meeting was organized within the visit of the mission to Uzbekistan to develop a concept of the project “On improving investment climate in Uzbekistan”.

The Uzbek side provided information on current state of competitive policy and reforms in developing competition and antimonopoly regulation, etc.

The sides also discussed issues on privatization of the state assets, changes in legislation and main goals and tasks of the privatization programme for near future.

The mission members underlined positive changes in improving privatization process, realizing of the state assets and creating favourable conditions for investors in recent years.

The sides reached agreement on cooperation in such directions as improving competition policy, developing competition in some separate areas, speeding up privatization process.
