State Competition Committee and Korean Consumers Agency sign joint plan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A delegation led by President of Korea Consumer Agency Dae-Pyo Jung met with the chairperson of the State Committee on Privatization, Demonopolization and Development of Competition of Uzbekistan Davron Hidoyatov on 15 September.
The sides discussed signing of joint plan between the State Competition Committee and Korean Consumers Agency, the press service of the Uzbek side said.
On 16 September, the presentation of the joint plan of the State Competition Committee and Korean Consumers Agency was presented and the ceremony of signing was held.
At the event, the participants discussed cooperation of the State Competition Committee and Korean Consumers Agency in protection of consumer rights.
The Uzbek side presented activities directed at protecting consumer rights in Uzbekistan, study of the markets, etc.
Current meeting, the sides presented their positions and agreed to sign two-year agreement on joint activities in sphere of protection of consumers rights. Other issues of cooperation within the memorandum of understanding were discussed.
State Competition Committee and Korean Consumers Agency signed the memorandum of understanding in December 2013.
It is directed at strengthening cooperation via exchanging of information, organizing of joint studies and events, etc.
