Specialized school named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy holds entrance exams for fifth grade

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 23 July 2018, Specialized school for the in-depth study of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy conducted entrance exams for the fifth grade for the 2018-2019 academic year.

From 2 July to 20 July 2018, Specialized school for the in-depth study of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy accepted documents from students for the fifth grade.

Over 510 young people submitted the required documents and were allowed to participate in the entrance exams.

On 23 July, young people took part in mathematics and English language at Uzko‘rgazmasavdo. The duration of the exams were almost 2 hours.

The exams were organized in cooperation with Inha University in Tashkent (IUT), which provided assistance to ensure openness and transparency of exam process.

In particular, the video-streaming of the exams was organized via a special webpage http://live.inha.uz and the official page of the school on Facebook - https://www.facebook.com/AlKhorezmiySchool/.

A group of parents was also invited to the examination hall as independent observers.

According to the results of the entrance examinations, 60 young people will be accepted to the 5th grade of the specialized school. The results of the exams will be announced on 30 July 2018.

In accordance with the decree of the President of Uzbekistan from 14 September 2017, the Specialized school for the in-depth study of information and communication technologies named after Muhammad al-Khorazmiy was established in Tashkent. A student at a specialized school will study mathematics, physics, computer science and foreign languages with an extensive use of modern information and pedagogical technologies based on the state educational standards for general secondary education. In accordance with the school’s charter, the lessons are conducted in Uzbek language.
