Specialists of the French Development Agency visited Samarkand

The chief engineer of Marokand Obod, Jamshid Sadikov, presented the concept of the routes for movement of special equipment for the collection of household waste with the aim of optimizing them, as well as the integration of this technology, which will be procured within the framework of the project during 2018.

This special equipment should allow Marokand Obod to collect all domestic waste and provide quality services throughout the city, which is experiencing rapid development.

Mr. Rafael Josan, Director of the Regional Representation of the French Development Agency in Tashkent, and Mr. Abduvali Usmonov, Director of Marokand Obod, met with Otabek Boboyev, Deputy Khokim of Samarkand Region on investments, to discuss the preparation and holding of a roundtable in the framework of the Central Asian International Environmental Forum "Strengthening cooperation in the field of environment and sustainable development in Central Asia" in Tashkent on 5-7 June 2018. During the event, the project will be presented to the international community.

This unique project in Central Asia envisages comprehensive management of waste - from collection to processing and valorization, which will improve living standards of local population.
