Specialists from Uzbekistan to be trained in Japan
The document was signed by Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan Nobuaki Ito and the Deputy Chairman of the State Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Investments Shuhrat Vafayev.
The goal of the project is to provide the civil servants of the Republic of Uzbekistan with an opportunity to obtain a master’s and doctorate degree from universities in Japan in 2019-2020.
As of June 2018, during the eighteen years of the existence of the JDS Project in the Republic of Uzbekistan, 311 fellows were sent to study in Japan.
The JDS scholarship holders, after returning to the Republic of Uzbekistan, will use the knowledge and skills acquired in Japan, and will be required to work for the next three years in the former state service within the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
