Special Representative of the President of Uzbekistan discusses Afghanistan cooperation with EU

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 8 September 2025, Ismatulla Irgashev, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan, held talks with Toivo Klaar, Ambassador of the European Union to Uzbekistan.

The parties discussed the current state of bilateral cooperation on Afghan-related issues and reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining regular dialogue on the Afghan settlement.

The meeting took place in a constructive atmosphere and confirmed the readiness to further develop practical dialogue between Tashkent and Brussels.
