Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 6 July 2022, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Afghanistan Ismatulla Irgashev held talks with Special Representative of the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom for Afghanistan and Pakistan Nigel Casey via videoconference.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Uzbek-British relations in the Afghan direction, in particular, the development of the situation in Afghanistan.

The high-ranking diplomat praised the efforts of Uzbekistan to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people and economic assistance to Afghanistan.

There was also an exchange of views on the upcoming International Conference on Afghanistan, which will be held on 26 July 2022. in Tashkent.
