Special Advisor to UN Secretary General arrives in Uzbekistan

Yukio Takasu will take part in international events, which will be held in Uzbekistan.

In particular, he will take part in the Central Asian International Environmental Forum "Strengthening cooperation in the field of environmental protection and sustainable development" (5-8 June) and the international conference "Joint actions to mitigate the consequences of the Aral catastrophe: new approaches, innovative solutions, investments" (8 June).

The special adviser to the UN Secretary General will also visit the Aral Sea on 7 June to familiarize himself with the environmental situation and hold meetings with local residents, representatives of state and public structures.
