Southern Railway Station starts its work on 4 April
The building of the Southern Railway Station was built in 1963 and last time it was reconstructed in 1985.
The total area of the station is 9.2 hectares, there are three aprons with a length of 650 m. The station is able to serve 20,000 passengers a day.
There is a waiting room in the station building, a VIP room, a mother and child room, a first-aid post, rest rooms, a buffet, mobile shopping kiosks. There is a Wi-Fi network in the station.
The Southern Railway Station will serve the trains in the directions of Tashkent-Urgench, Tashkent-Bukhara, Tashkent-Andijan, Tashkent-Kungrad, Tashkent-Termez, Tashkent-Sariasiya, Andijan-Bukhara, Andizhan-Urgench, Andijan-Termez, Tashkent-Bukhara ("Sharq" ), Tashkent-Termez ("Nasaf") and Tashkent-Andijon ("O’zbekiston").
Long-distance passenger trains will be sent from the station on the route Tashkent-Khodjikent, Tashkent-Khavast, Tashkent-Bekabad, Tashkent-Syrdarya and Tashkent-Gulistan.
