Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 28 October 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United Kingdom, Said Rustamov, met with the Executive Director of the London Southside Chamber of Commerce (LSCC) Jerry MacDonagh and the director of the organization for international projects Guy Audibert.

During the meeting, issues of expanding bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation, harnessing the potential of LSCC, uniting more than 250 British companies of a wide profile, in establishing mutually beneficial contacts between business circles of Uzbekistan and Britain were discussed.

Representatives of the LSCC, who already visited Uzbekistan in the spring of this year, in particular, assigned to the Embassy of Kashkadarya and Namangan Regions, pointed out the great opportunities for implementing joint projects in various fields, including agriculture, construction materials, food processing, education, healthcare and others.

An agreement was reached with the leadership of the LSCC to organize a business mission to Uzbekistan under the auspices of the chamber in April 2020.

In order to form a representative delegation from among British companies in advance, as well as the most promising areas of cooperation, a series of presentation events and meetings are planned in the coming months by the Embassy together with LSCC and its partner organizations.
