South Korea’s ODA Opinion Leaders to visit Uzbekistan
This group of volunteers consists of several figures in the fields of government, culture, media, health and art. They will visit Korea’s ODA project sites such as Tashkent Vocational Training Center, Korea-Uzbekistan Friendship Hospital and many others. They also carry out voluntary works in the rural village on the 19th, where Korea’s Saemaul Undong or a capacity-building program for rural areas just has been implemented.
Furthermore, KOICA’s President Young-mok Kim will also visit Uzbekistan from 17 to 19 August. During his visit< KOICA President plans to pay a courtesy call on First Deputy Prime minister Mr. Azimov Rustam Sadikovich, visit the Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade, the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection and the Ministry of Agriculture and Water Resources. He has a plan to join the voluntary works in the village and to encourage the volunteers.
The Volunteers are mostly KOICA’s honorary ambassadors and advisors: Park, Sang-won (Actor); Song, Jong-gug (Soccer Commentator); Kim, Jun-gyu (Former Director of Public Prosecutions) and etc.
